I’ve spent over 20 years in HR and People roles, across businesses of every shape and size.
From huge global organisations to small, fast-growing startups, I’ve seen what happens when businesses get the people side right. And what happens when they don’t.
What I kept seeing, especially in growing businesses, was the same pattern.
Talented founders, brilliant products, real ambition.
But the people side had been cobbled together reactively and was always one step behind.
Managers who’d been promoted because they were technically competent but had never been taught to manage.
Founders still holding everything together because nothing had been properly built to support them.
High employee turnover.
And then a consultant would come in, handle whatever was on fire and then leave.
Nothing actually changed.
I got so frustrated with that, so I set up The People Keeper to do it differently.

What I believe…
Most HR consultancy is built around fixing problems after they’ve already become expensive.
I’m more interested in building the foundations that stop those problems happening in the first place.
Employees aren’t an overhead to be managed. When you invest in getting the people side right, and bring your team with you on the journey of growing the business, growth gets easier. Your people become the thing that propels you forward, not the thing that holds you back.
That’s what I’m here to help you build.
How I work:
I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means you get proper attention direfctly from me, not a random adviser who has no context about your business.
I’m straightforward to work with.
I’ll tell you what I think, I’ll push back when I need to, and I’ll work through it with you rather than hand you a document and disappear.

And who am I when I’m not “People Keeping”?
I believe that there's more to life than work, so when I'm not working, here’s usually what else is going on…
I DJ on and co-manage an internet radio station, spinning mainly Jungle, Hardcore and Breakbeat. My musical taste is super-varied though and includes Classical, Latin, and Jazz.
I’m a bit of a petrolhead; the modified car has been swapped for a motorbike I’m slowly learning to ride. I’m obsessed with road racing, have been to the Isle of Man TT, and the NW200 is firmly on the list.
At home, my husband and I are kept in line by Daisy, an ex-racing greyhound, who takes her relaxation very seriously.
We're also big Lego fans! Our full collection is still making its way over from Greece (all six crates of it!) and we can't wait to get stuck in.
